Enjoy a scenic ride through the beautiful South Tyne valley from Alston station. Just a short 6 minute drive from Nent Hall, this is a great day out for all the family, including your furry friends. Catch sight of deer, look out for soaring birds of prey, you may even glimpse a red squirrel all whilst on your journey through the North Pennines area. The station is open from Easter up until the end of October on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but it is open 7 days a week during the school holidays. An adult ticket costs £8, a child ticket costs £4 and student discount is available.
